Casimira Dabrowska

Born: 1890 in Radom, Poland
Died: 1972 in Rome, Italy
Original name: Kazimiera DÄ…browska.
Famous painter, specialized in miniatures.
She also designed many stamps for Vatican City.

She studied arts in Warsaw, about 1904 - 1908. She had several succesful expositions in Poland, France and finally in Italy. During World War II she stayed in Rome. In 1951 she startet designing stamps for Vatican City, and continued her work there until 1969. All together she made 64 designs, that were used for 100 different stamps. The total circulation of those stamps was 137.8 million. She stayed in the Holy Sede until her dead.
